Joan Miro, Untitled (M. 228). Original color lithograph, 1956. Edition unknown (published in 1956 in a special issue of the deluxe art review, “Derriere le Miroir” devoted to Miro's works). There were no pencil-signed and numbered impressions of this print. The magazine was published by the renowned gallerist Aime Maeght.
Print measures approx 11” x 15”. 15” x 19” overall framed size. Framed simply in chrome of the period. Never removed from the frame! Condition is fair. There are no creases or rips in the print however there is excessive yellowing and foxing. I know there are chemical treatments to remove the foxing, and will leave that up to you if desired. It still presents beautifully and will be a wonderful addition to your collection of mid-century abstract art!
Pristine copies of this print sell for $500+++. I have priced it reasonably based on condition and am open to reasonable offers.
